A first visit

- 01
Before you come
You will be asked some general health questions before your first session so the work can be adapted to what is actually going on. Some conditions make bodywork inadvisable, and occasionally your doctor needs to sign off first.
- 02
What to wear
For myofascial release, dress in shorts and a T-shirt, or a sports bra. The work needs direct contact with skin and no lotion, and most of it happens on top of the sheets. For Shamanic Reiki, polarity and reflexology, you stay fully clothed. For massage, undress to whatever you are comfortable with. You are draped the whole time and the practitioner leaves the room while you get on the table.
- 03
During
Say something the moment anything is uncomfortable. Pressure, temperature, a blanket, the music. The work lands better when your body is not bracing against it.
- 04
After
Most people leave loose and a little slowed down. That usually turns into more energy over the following day or two.
If you need to change an appointment
- Cancellation
- 24 hours’ notice is required to cancel. Without it, the full session fee is due before your next appointment.
- No-shows
- A forgotten or skipped appointment is a no-show and is charged in full.
- Arriving late
- Arriving late may shorten your session so the next client is not kept waiting. The full session fee still applies.
- If you are unwell
- Bodywork is contraindicated when you are unwell. If you have had a fever in the last 24 hours, are coughing or sneezing, or otherwise feel off, get in touch and we will move your appointment.
Paying
Cash or check only.
To confirm: Stated in bold on the live pricing page. No card, no HSA/FSA, no online payment anywhere. This is a real conversion tax and the easiest thing on the list to fix.
